Last Tuesday we hosted our second Hair-To Tuesday event at Folica headquarters.
The theme of the night was How To Achieve the Perfect Blowout and Turbo Power sponsored the event. They brought stylists, office decor and loads of products for a night of DIYing and tip-trading. Add wine, cheese and goody bags and you’ve got a prEtty great Tuesday evening.

the Turbo Power stylists taught us their favorite tricks for How to Get a Salon-Quality Blow-Out at Home.
1. Wash your hair and towel-dry it by pressing the towel into the hair. Do not rub.
2. Comb your hair with a wide-tooth comb and part it where desired.
3. Work in a small amount of smoothing serum or leave-in conditioning oil (like the new Sedu Anti-Frizz Argan Oil). For shoulder-length hair, a quarter-sized amount should do. Use a bit more for longer hair. Concentrate the oil on the ends of your hair.
4. Use the comb to divide hair into three or four sections on top, clipping each section to the head with stylist clips. (Lowest layers left exposed.)
5. Using a hairdryer with a concentrator attachment and an ionic feature (for smoothness) and a brush (paddle brushes give straighter results; round brushes give body and wave) start drying the lowest sections of hair.
6. When all of the low layers are dry, unclip a section of hair from the top and dry it in the same manner. Repeat until all the sections are dry.
7. Brush hair lightly and finish with a light spritz of humidity-sealing hairspray.
